Yannick Nagel

„ I've been climbing for over 10 years and when I watched the World Cup Bouldering live in Munich in 2015, it was clear that I wanted to go there, too. Since then, I've been training regularly and am very focused on competition climbing. “

about Mantle

„ Great chalk! Since my hands sweat a lot, a good chalk is very important for me. With the Mantle chalk I know that at least nothing can go wrong with the equipment in the competition. “

Questions to Yannick

What do you usually do in your spare time?

I train 6 times a week, so there's not much time for anything else. But I like to deal with finance and stock market transactions - I haven't lost too much money yet.

Give us a fun fact about you or a remarkable experience in your climbing career.

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 2 years ago. But that hasn't stopped me for a second from pursuing my dreams of competitive climbing. The athlete's life is a bit more complicated now, but I manage it well - and as an athlete, taking care of your diet and your body is important anyway.

What are your long term and/or short term goals?

This year I want to go to the World Youth Championships again and at least make it to the finals in lead. In the long term, I want to compete in World Cups and see what I can do for the 2028 Olympics in LA.
